The Ceausescu-Mao connection was meant only in jest for a gag. I'm sure there was very little genetic overlap. Romanians likely have more in common with Turks, Bulgars, and, moreover, Roma Gypsies than anyone else on the Grand Ol' Raping/Pillaging/Imperialist Continent.
