Chinese publishers have pulled a collection of Brothers Grimm fairy tales from children's shelves in book stores after mistakenly translating a Japanese pornographic reinterpretation of the tales.
China Friendship Publishing Company and China Media Time translated the erotic retelling of the stories by the Japanese duo Kiryu Misao without credit after mistaking them for the originals.

Peking man—the group of early humans whose 1920s discovery gave a big boost to the theory of evolution—lived hundreds of thousands of years earlier than previously believed, a new study says. Some researchers believe the discovery hints at two separate migrations of Homo erectus (of which Peking man is a subspecies) out of Africa: one into northeastern China and another into Southeast Asia.

In his new book, author Paul French unravels an old Peking murder mystery, unsolved for 74 years.
