Two cool illustrations by Man-Tsun donated to the Love JP Collection, a selection of art donated to raise money to support the relief effort in Japan.

A series titled "Skateboard Girls" from Beijing-based Chen Man. The series was done a few years ago when Chen Man was just starting to make a name for herself, so it didn't get much attention the first time around. NeochaEdge gives it a second look, and I gave it a few more passed that.

Chengdunese painter Dawei Zhang was born in 1968 to painters in the People's Liberation Army. He studied Chinese painting at the Sichuan Art Institute in Chongqing, and then spent a decade living the laid-back lifestyle of a painter in Chengdu in the 1990s ("In Chengdu there were a lot of painters who lived this way," he explained. "Every day I just painted, watched movies, read, drank tea.

On a chilly Beijing afternoon, musician Guo Yong is rooting through some bushes to choose an instrument. He's a master of the garden leaf. He picks a leaf, puts it up to his mouth, and blows against the surface, mimicking birdsong. This skill catapulted Gou onto the stage of Beijing's National Theatre.
