Interview with Rachel DeWoskin – Arts & Entertainment
www.timeoutbeijing.com — Rachel DeWoskin arrived in Beijing in 1994 expecting to work in a PR firm. Instead, she became a Chinese star. DeWoskin took the lead in soap opera Foreign Babes in Beijing as Jiexi, a foxy laowai with a passion for married hottie Tianming. First-class fodder, then, for a memoir, published under the same title in 2005. DeWoskin talks about her new novel, an HBO show in the making and celebrity life in China.

I liked Foreign Babes in Beijing, and can totally understand why as an author she didn't want to keep churning out books about China, particularly because everyone or their brother is a China expat these days ... but man, teenage dwarf actors? Never saw that coming.
