You have to wonder why so many non-Asians have not gotten the message that making "slant-eye" faces is not appropriate. It's so ignorant and insulting - how could they not know this? For this young starlet to claim that she meant no offense is probably true - but her action did illustrate how clueless she was. I hope she and her fans have learned something from this.

At the same time, I've never seen pictures of Asian people making "big noses" faces but I've certainly been called a big nose (and worse) enough times. Are Asians ever criticized for doing this?
