Just because the stock market bubble burst, does this mean China is in dire circumstances? No way. Even with an inflated figure of 10% growth, China’s economy has far more resistance than what all of the doom-and-gloom media outlets have been saying.

The China M&A market remains as one of the few places for western companies and venture capital/private equity to invest. It makes sense: the western economy isn’t doing well, shift the money to where the economy is doing much better. I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to figure this out.

The China stock market continues to sizzle; and with fears that a bubble is developing it is only natural to ask “should investors outside of China worry about a correction or collapse in China’s stock market impacting global markets?”

According to experts, China's corporate bond market may see a great development in the year 2008 and 2009. Issuing more corporate bonds is one of the most important methods to expand the proportion of direct financing, and it’s possible that the corporate bond market will eventually surpass the stock market in the future. Currently, although the policy makers and the market players have shared the common expectation towards a prosperous corporate bond market, the path to it still remains to be further explored.

Right when I finally post something somewhat negative about the health of the Chinese economy, another news piece goes ahead and tells us what we probably don’t want to hear: that some of the explosive growth (a bubble?) that we had been expecting is slowing down.
