China's public land sales increase – China News

english.aljazeera.net — Local governments in China have raised billions of dollars from public land sales to property developers, according to new figures released by Beijing's ministry for land resources. Chinese government officials said in a statement released on Tuesday that public land sales increased by 60 per cent in 2009, netting over $200 billion.
