Zheng Xiaoyu, ex-chief of the State Food and Drug Administration, was just sentenced to death in China's most recent OBVIOUS SCAPEGOAT TRIAL.
Looking to show that they're taking the dangerous products coming out of their country seriously, Zheng has been ordered to be put to death for accepting bribes and allowing sub-standard drugs onto the market while performing his former role.
Only problem is, Zheng was not at all involved in the recent toothpaste/pet food/saline solution scares. He's been happily retired for two years.

1 year 32 weeks 10 hours 36 min agoyes you're right that it was probably a scapegoat trial, but he's still guilty of mismanagement and abuse of power while at the top. untold hundreds of thousands of Chinese have died from dodgy food and drugs while he was at the top. as part of his death sentence i'd like to see him ingest the dodgy drugs he OK'd.
