300,000 Newspaper Destroyed for THIS? – China Pics
www.zonaeuropa.com — Take a look to see if you can guess why this one picture, printed on May 12 in a local Chinese newspaper, would result in over 300,000 copies being destroyed. Eagle eyes are a must.

I cannot figure it out at all. Somebody please tell me soon, it's driving me nuts. Do I have to play it backwards?
You can see Roland's clue at the bottom because there were so many people (including myself) who were being driven nuts. Divide the picture in half and count how many people are on the left and how many are on the right and think of that as a date. There's one more piece that is hard to see on somebody's pants. I kind of tried to give some clues in the categories I assigned this article to.
Considering how hard it is to see all this, it's a wonder why they decided to destroy so many copies. Give me a break.
Anyone that enjoyed the Da Vinci Code or Angels and Demons should like this one. I think the paper or the authorities had to be beyond paranoid to see meaning where I think none was intended. But, hey, that paranoia says a lot about the society. For those that need help the answer is 6-4-1989 which is an important date in Chinese history but a date the govt wants us all to forget about.
Wow, paranoia of a coincidence. I really thought it was because of symmetry of the group or that no one smiled.
Thanks guys. I did in fact read, and reread the clues but didn't get anywhere with it. Maybe the recycling factory needed a boost. As always, making something out of nothing - drawing attention to something nobody would have noticed.
I can officially confirm that the CCP and the legions of hard-wired sheep that drink their Kool Aid are utterly barmy. Put another way; wtf?
@Fredster: I posted about it here with an easy to follow image for the answer :-)
Wow, I finally figured it out after several minutes of squinting. The number of people on the image sides was a bit obscure until I saw the final clue.
Thanks Ryan. I would never have gotten it. Ever. It's like one of those annoying 'genius tests' where you have to fit two metal rings or pieces of wood together and yet - for someone with my sub-par IQ - it's freaking impossible.
How do you say Illuminati in Chinese?
Not to encourage all this but, are there actually jeans that say 1989 on them or is this like the toast Jesus or the drier lint Mary?
@Ryan...nice work on that answer image :)
@fredster...whose knows about the toast Jesus or drier lint Mary stuff, but I wouldn't be surprised if next week we saw a headline boasting "Jean Maker recalls 3.5 million of it's Jeans with '1989' Printing". Ha!
Freeeeaky.
At least some censors still know about Tiananmen, unlike those ones a few years back who lost their job since they didn't even know the significance of 6/4 since the government made such an effort to hide it from youth. poor blokes.
