Meg over at Violet Eclipse gives us this recent photo-post that shows the eerie side of the off-season in Chinese amusement parks. Funny stuff.

A funny entry from Violet Eclipse that draws attention to the fact that when speaking Chinese or doing your best to, context is super important.

The thing is, everything in China relies on context. It's kind of like when you meet your boyfriend's friends and they're all "Remember that time? Hahahaha!" while you're all "Hi, I'm Meg". They use these half sentences and references to other things, and even an awesome girlfriend just can't keep up."

Violet Eclipse has a humorous entry about trying to decode a Chinese advertisement.

Excerpt:"I searched Dorothy's booklet for a clue. There was a twenty-something girl in a sundress, three smiling nurses with a huge bouquet. Another girl was napping in her night gown, a couple raised their glasses in a toast, another cute nurse talking to another female patient, and Angelina Jolie in lingerie."
