Internet users in China weighed in Thursday on the fairness of a decision to order China to give back a bronze medal a female gymnast won at the 2000 Sydney Olympics after the International Olympic Committee said she was only 14 years old at the time.

Spring Festival's "golden week" sees retail sales in China hit 340 billion yuan, or 50 billion US dollars. That's a 17 percent improvement over the same period last year. China's major retailers said food sales grew 16 percent year on year, while sales of tobacco and liquor were up 13 percent.
