The 8th Wonder of the World – China Travel

Beijing has changed so much, and yet remained the same since we lived there two years ago. New high-rise apartment buildings are changing the skyline of our old neighborhood, our subway stop has been improved and new lines have been added to the maze the Beijing Subway is becoming.

Beijing summers can be unbearable. Heat and frequent sandstorms make you feel like you're in the middle of a desert furnace. For centuries, emperors and imperial officials of the Qing dynasty racked their brains with ways to escape the heat. They finally found refuge in Chengde, a peaceful garden city located in the cooler mountains of nearby Hebei.

2. Then comes @erasedtapes who was in Beijing visiting. I thought his tweet was quite vivid about the great wall of China so we did our own interpretation of it.

"It's the most significant change in the travel industry in Taiwan in the past 30 years. It's changed the travel industry completely."

For the Chinese, their highly charged history and shared language make Taiwan, it seems, an appealing holiday destination.
