The Hao Hao Report is proud to be hosting the China Blog Awards 2007 - Best Story. We've dubbed it the Zui Hao (Best) Report.

Living in China brings with it a number of occasions where most can do nothing but scratch their heads and say “WTF?” However, largely by the help of the English-language China blogsphere, we’ve started to create a dictionary that can assist in putting words to the weird, definitions to the disarray and captions to the confusing.

The LICtionary, or Life In China Dictionary, contains terms us expats have created to put form to the fiction that is life in China.

Well, as any who've visited over the last few days will have noticed - the Hao Hao Report has received a bit of an overhaul. We've upgraded a bunch of things and added some new features, including:

* New Look: We're still working the kinks out of the slick new look. Let us know what you think.

* The Bury Feature: This has been a long time coming - but finally all users will have the ability to "bury" posts that are bu hao.

The Humanaught's recent post talks about China's net nanny finally unblocking information mega-site Wikipedia, drawing particular attention to the fact that the Chinese version of the site is still very much inaccessible.

The Shanghaiist humorously reports that The Economist's readers just aren't "mavericky enough" based on a new poll the magazine has compiled to gauge how the rest of the world would vote in this US election - China overwhelmingly supports Obama, as does Cuba, Congo, Sudan, Algeria, Namibia and Macedonia - Iraq, on the other hand, is a firm McCain supporter.
