Well, as any who've visited over the last few days will have noticed - the Hao Hao Report has received a bit of an overhaul. We've upgraded a bunch of things and added some new features, including:

* New Look: We're still working the kinks out of the slick new look. Let us know what you think.

* The Bury Feature: This has been a long time coming - but finally all users will have the ability to "bury" posts that are bu hao.

Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that we've now got Blogmaster Tools for Blogger and WordPress users. If you've got a blog - why not make it easy for people to submit your posts to the Hao Hao Report?

Hey all, just an announcement that Hao Hao Report has jumped on the Facebook bandwagon and now has its very own Facebook App.

The fairly straight-forward app simply displays the four top stories from the front page here at Hao Hao Report. Main links go directly to the original story's page, while a small link under the submissions description leads to the Hao Hao page for voting and commenting.

This is still very much in the testing phases, but as everyone LOVES to put "beta" after their Web projects (somewhat indefinitely, it seems), here ya are.

Introducing the Hao Hao Reporter Revenue Sharing Program. You've all helped build this site into something cool and for this, I'd like to reward you.

Initially I wanted to buy everyone a bottle of Er Guo Tou, but reason stepped in and presented me with this idea instead. By simply filling in your Google Adsense ID on your Profile Info page you'll begin having your ads displayed on all full-story pages of links you've submitted and/or will submit.

That's right folks, we've got our very own dot com (www.haohaoreport.com)! I feel like a parent who's only child has just moved out and got their own apartment. My little baby's all growns up!

I had always promised myself that if the China blogging/news reading community embraced the concept of the Hao Hao Report, I'd take this from being a sub-section of my site and give it its own home.

We've turned off anonymous voting (the ability for all site visitors to vote on stories) and limited it to registered users for the time being.

The idea behind the Hao Hao Report is to have a method for all of us to quickly find the best and most interesting posts and news reports about China.

It has always been the policy of HHR to allow users to submit articles from their own blogs, as a way of both promoting their blog and exposing the community to diverse sources of commentary and information.

Great news! The Hao Hao Report is being upgraded. Though many of the updates are behind the scenes, there are a number of additions that have improved functionability in the site. You'll likely notice a few new stylistic things as well. A few new things:

1. Avatars: A fancy word for "picture", these will appear (small) beside the stories you've posted, and (larger) in your profile. Time to add some personality to that account!

You may have noticed the little box in the top right corner of this page. That's our del.icio.us bookmark link/counter. Cool huh? What's not cool is that the number is pathetically low. Here's where you come in...

If you've got a del.icio.us account, just click the 'bookmark this' bit and add us to your del.icio.us bookmarks. If you don't have an account, why don't you?
