Starbucks tells customers that when it comes to Fair Trade sourcing for its coffee beans: "What we do, you do." The ethical actions of Starbucks are the ethical actions of its customers. But if consumers get the credit for a company's Fair Trade practices, do we also get the blame for its ethical failures -- say, knowingly manufacturing electronics at abusive Chinese factories?
