Hey, I've been trying to put together a humorous compilation of China driving related phots and Driver's Exam type questions...I have it up in crude form now and will polish it up once I get to about 50 questions or so....hope you enjoy it....

A former professor beamed us into her Intercultural Communication class this week for a little Q&A session. They had great questions, and it was tons of fun… thought I’m not sure how much we’ll remember, seeing as how we were tanked up on coffee and didn’t sign off ’til 3am. They e-mailed some questions beforehand, and we’ve posted brief answers to some of them below.

“Two American men were deported for sleeping with too many girls,” a foreign friend reported to me sometime ago. “They gave a number of girls hope about marriage and traveling to America and the girls willingly gave themselves to the guys.” My friend was a teacher in a small town in Central China were news always traveled fast. She explained that when the girls realized that they had been ‘used’, they complained to the local authorities who promptly arrested the men and sent them out of the country.

As Steve Dickinson very concisely summarizes in this recent post on China Law Blog, the government is actively expanding their control over foreign investment in China’s real estate market. That isn’t to say that real estate is completely off limits for foreign players, but rather that the Central Government has put themselves in a position where they can disapprove or delay projects completely at their own discretion.

China's President Hu Jintao had a brief online chat with members of the People's Daily's 'Strong Country' online forum this morning.

The whole chat lasted about four minutes. President Hu answered three questions asked by three netizens. The three questions were:

1. Do you use the Internet?
2. What do you do on the Internet?
3. Netizens have put up a lot of suggestions about the country; do you read them?

(CNN) -- Fifteen U.S. House members asked President Bush Tuesday not to attend the Olympic Games in Beijing to protest China's human rights records.

The call follows comments from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who earlier said Bush should boycott the August 8 opening ceremony.

President Bush has said he intends to meet China's president during a trip to see the Olympics. Bush didn't elaborate on what issues he might bring up, but his administration has accused China, a major U.S. trade partner, of human rights abuses.
