I was so curious that I sent the author/journalist (on fpn.dk) an email and asked him if they didn't normally write the source?
He wrote back this morning. His explaination was that the pictures figured in many articles, so he was not sure which one was the original. He added that it made him think that maybe he should have written that these pictures were debated on many sites atm just to do something.
I buy it, but still funny to run into the same pictures on a Danish neswpaper site ;-)

Haha, yeah - when it's pictures of funny brands or Chinglish... I think public domain is the name of the game. We live in a FWD culture, and the "creative work" is hardly the photo itself, but rather that which is in the photo.
