In a weird twist of product bans, and perhaps to show that it works both ways - China has banned all chicken coming from Canada after a farm in Western Canada discovered some of their chickens infected with a strain of bird flu that (unlike the kind that killed a bunch of people in China) is not lethal to humans.

Of course, beyond the fact that a policeman is dead, the Chinese authorities have provided little evidence to support their account of the raid. No pictures of the camp, the seized weapons cache, or the dead and captured "terrorists" have yet been published.

Matthew DeFlorio published this article with the International Law News recently about supply chain security. It doesn’t directly relate to China, but I think its tips are very applicable. A number of his suggestions are based in common sense and quite a bit of experience as well.

In Sichuan China, a doctor preformed an X-ray on a 90 year-old woman and found that she was carrying a dead fetus for 58 years.

The old lady named Wong, lives in Qing Sheng Province. In February this year, she hurt her back while she was trying to carry a bucket of water. The family took her to the hospital 2 months later for an X-ray. That’s when the doctors found out that there was a dead fetus in her uterus, though it was severely distorted.

A 3-year-old girl in Beichuan, one of the counties that suffered the most from Monday's earthquake in southwest China's Sichuan Province, has magically survived under the dead bodies of her parents. Song Xinyi's legs were seriously injured under the weight of her parents and many layers of rubble, but she could still talk when rescuers pulled her out after more than 40 hours. She explained the 3 Chinese characters that made up her name, and told everybody she loved painting and watching TV. Despite a coin-sized wound on her forehead, she still looked pretty.

Chinese cemeteries are selling paper replicas of Viagra pills to be burned for dead relatives as a wish for satisfying sex in the afterlife, state media reported Wednesday.

Customers are snapping up the paper Viagra, as well as images of condoms and heavily made-up bar girls ahead of the annual Tombsweeping Festival on April 5, the Nanjing Morning News reported.
