Mystery woman in black behind Obama at the town hall meeting becomes popular and speaks out – Weird China News

President Obama spoke with several hundred students at the museum of science and technology in Shanghai today where he answered students’ questions in a Town Hall Meeting. However according to this post, some of the “students” who asked the questions were not exactly current students? These fake students were actually university officials?

However the western readers seem to be focusing more on the racism issue, but the reason of the attacks is not only because of the racism against black people.

“Shanghai Black Girl Lou Jing (娄婧)” became popular on the Chinese internet because of the brutal comments and attacks online over her ethnic background and her skin color. Readers also strongly commented on the blog post 2 weeks ago on the issues of racial discrimination in China as well as the moral debate over her mother’s “extramarital affair”.

The incident “hai yun nv (海运女)” ever caused quite a stir on the Internet. Pinyin “hai yun” means sea transportation or maritime transportation, and “nv” means girl. The reason why the incident was called “maritime transportation girl” incident or “maritime transportation gate (海运门)” is because the girl, named Yin Hong (殷虹), is a student from Shanghai Maritime University.
