The Library Project completes twelve rural elementary school libraries

The Library Project is very excited to announce that they have provided twelve elementary school libraries in less than a month throughout China. The Library Project donated thousands of Chinese language children’s books, as well as tables, chairs, plants, globes, and children’s dictionaries. Librarian training was provided at each library with hopes that it will substantially improve the education children will receive at each elementary school.

Successful Charity Event for The Library Project

The University of Maryland's Smith School of Business in Shanghai held a very successful charity fundraiser for The Library Project on November 24, 2007.

With the help of over twenty corporate and individual sponsors, the Smith School was able to donate over 45,000 RMB ($6,000 USD) to The Library Project. This very generous donation will help The Library Project provide books and furniture to six countryside elementary schools in China.

The Library Project makes commitment to improve their first school district in China
