This article applies the psychology of cyberspace, particularly the online disinhibition effect, and the concept of oppressed group behavior among foreign English teachers in China to explain the phenomenon of lateral aggression on anonymous Internet forums. Readers are cautioned not to ever reveal their true identities on these forums and to take all advice with a grain of salt.
