When they arrived into the Guangzhou station from the HK Train, they were told that their visa would have to be canceled and they would be on their last 30 day stay and they would have to go back home to get an extension or a new visa!

Don't give up on China business yet, Beavis. Sure, there may be a crackdown on multiple entry F (business) visas underway. But get a student visa and the only entry you'll need to worry about is one without a hall pass.

During my recent trip to the police station to get my papers in order, my apparent lack of knowledge on the issue led the policeman to gift me a packet of information specially designed for foreigners. I tried to look past the fact that much of it was in cartoon form to glean some new visa tips.
